about

(original review from Amazon music):
"Goodbye Girl - US band The Taters give this classic track a calypso feel, and it works! Singer and bass player Craig Evans said, "We are big fans of Harry Belafonte's calypso records from the late 50s, and we tried to pull some of that influence into this recording. It's a fairly acoustic-based recording, with several layers of percussion and piles of background vocals to give that calypso chorus sound that's on the Belafonte records." A very nice reinvention."
